One of the largest problems I see in society is the selling and embracing (mostly the selling) of the concept that all the little responsible things you might do to make yourself a better person are... unnecessary. I love unnecessary.

Sketch Card - Uniboar for Louve by Synnabar

Here is Louve's wonderful Uniboar, drawn on one of my sketch cards; the cards are pretty small, under 5" tall, but they have a surface that takes pencil very nicely, and at such a small size, they fit in my Pen Sketchbook and are easy to carry and draw on in the car. ;) I absolutely love boars (I even have a big boar ring, LOL!), but I haven't drawn any in years, so I apologize for any proportional errors. Louve's work is amazing and lovely, and it was hard to decide what to draw, but the Uniboar won out. :) The background was fun as well; i love detailed borders!

For the Anthro Sketch Exchange community ( http://community.livejournal.com/anthrosketchxch/ ), my person for January was Black_Atolm. I spent a lot of time researching because I am not great with canines, stealth weaponry, or Splinter Cell (= yay! I love researching, yum! :D), so this was a good challenge for me (also yay :D, challenges = good). Then I kept re-drawing it, scanning it in, touching it up, printing it out, and re-drawing it... so it took longer than you might think. I loved B_A's art of Hikage and his description too, especially: "He is cocky, confident, shows lack of respect to any authority and likes to show off."- that's what I went with (eep, I think I left out his forelock/bangs, sorry :/). The throwing knives are just to show off; he has the handles between his knuckles, kinda. I know that's not a good position for throwing.

Delano for the awesome and generous mel666/Sekhmet. All details and ornamentation per description. Done in my scribbly-style with an RSVP pen on cardstock, 8-1/2" x 11". I wet the ink a little with water, and blended it a bit with a small brush. Sepia tint added via Photoshop.

Background is not a photo...heres a closeup at 50% http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v689/myenia/cluseup.jpg I made this to be a wallpaper for my computer. The background is referenced from a photo my mother took. Thank you God for controlled scribble. The image is shown at 11%...the original is...way to big to comprehend. This had to take well over 50 hours, I've been doing it on and off for 2 months. I still really don't like how flat the rocks in the foreground look, but I've already decided I'm done with this. Other than that, I'm REALLY happy with it! For an upcoming calendar project that Yellow-eyes and I are organizing. The idea is a werewolf calendar that will resemble wildlife calendars sold featuring animal photographs. Each month will have a paragraph giving some "information" about werewolves. Watch either of our journals for more information, they will become available for order in October! "Even though werewolves can pronounce human words in beast form, body language still plays a very important part in their communication, even in human form. So, its supposed to be like, all things Venice. Saint Mark's lion (winged lion) is a symbol of the city, and the mask for the carnival, and the violin for the music. This was done for the free-topic part of the TRR contest. It is slightly different, in that I sent the unfinished version, barely making the deadline by 2 minutes. I am still not happy with it, I wanted to do a whole ton of detail on the mask, but, I've been killing myself to get this done. Since this is just about all I got to put on the contest entry, I didn't add much more. To violinists: I'm sorry! I'm a musician, but I only took half a semester of violin, so whatever mistakes I made, SORRY! I'd like to see you draw a tuba. Photoshop CS2 art (c) me

A tattoo design of an Aztec were-jaguar... the ground surface is both tiles, and also skin - hence the blood... Done for a guy who is going to get it tattooed on his bicep - I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it when he gets it done =). Done in inks and acrylic paints on 9"x12" illustration board.

I've always liked the Phoenix Coyotes old logo more than the new one, and I've always thought it would be cool to be the coyote guy. I never would have thought of making a fursuit of him but now that I work at the arena, I couldn't help but draw this up and hope some day I'll be able to make him ^^ (I wasn't quite sure what the purple on the muzzle looked like, same thing with the loingcloth thingy, but whatever.)
